Supreme Court General Election Tomorrow - Don't Forget to Vote!

SUPREME COURT GENERAL ELECTION TOMORROW - DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!

By Matt Sande, Pro-Life Wisconsin Legislative Director

This evening in a 4-2 ruling, the Wisconsin Supreme Court overturned Governor Evers' executive order issued earlier today that would have postponed in-person voting until June 9. Tomorrow's general election will proceed as planned. The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC endorsed Justice Daniel Kelly for Wisconsin Supreme Court in January. Justice Kelly is now fighting hard to win the general election scheduled for TOMORROW, Tuesday, April 7. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for this statewide, nonpartisan race. Visit this site to learn about where you should vote and who else is on your local ballot.

If you have received an absentee ballot, or are waiting to receive one, please complete it and return it as soon as possible! The deadline for absentee ballots to be received by mail or in-person at local municipal clerks offices has been extended to Monday, April 13 at 4:00 p.m. However, national and state Republicans have made an emergency appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court requesting it to stay this absentee ballot extension. Whatever the outcome, please complete your absentee ballot and return it immediately, preferably in-person.

The requirement that absentee voters have a witness sign their ballot envelope is still in place. A federal district judge in Madison ruled on Thursday that a witness signature was not required so long as the absentee voter provides written affirmation that he or she could not safely do so due to coronavirus fears, but his ruling was overturned on Friday by the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. So be sure to have a witness sign your ballot envelope.

Justice Kelly’s belief in the dignity of the human person makes him the only choice for pro-life voters. His Planned Parenthood-endorsed opponent is overtly pro-abortion. Dane County Circuit Court Judge Jill Karofsky compared abortion to getting wisdom teeth pulled.

As a judicial conservative, Justice Kelly will rule impartially by interpreting and applying the law as actually written - not according to his own policy preferences. Unlike his opponent, he will not reimagine our constitutions for modern times. He will not legislate from the bench.

If you are not voting absentee, please exercise your right to vote in-person on Tuesday, April 7. Vote for life! And please pray for Justice Kelly, his family, and his campaign team.
