Jacque Wins Special Election Senate Primary
May 16, 2018
State Representative André Jacque was victorious Tuesday in the Republican primary in the 1st Senate District special election. Wisconsin’s 1st Senate District includes all of Door and Kewaunee counties and parts of Brown, Calumet, Manitowoc and Outagamie counties, including parts of the cities of Green Bay, Appleton and Menasha.
The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC made a sole endorsement of Jacque in the race, and he made the pro-life issue a focus of his campaign.
“Pro-Life Wisconsin congratulates André Jacque on a hard-won victory,” Matt Sande, Victory Fund PAC director, said. “André has earned the trust and commitment of the pro-life electorate not only in the 1st Senate District but across the state of Wisconsin. Pro-lifers appreciate his consistent and principled pro-life leadership in the State Assembly,” Sande said. “André has helped enact laws auditing and defunding Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and has led efforts to protect preborn babies in our state constitution as persons and end the use of aborted fetal body parts in research. He would be a great addition to the State Senate.”
Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund supports candidates for public office who demonstrate a commitment to protect each and every innocent human life – in all circumstances and at all stages of development. To be “100 percent pro-life” is to know that a human life begins at fertilization and that there may never be a legal exception to an innocent child’s inalienable right to life.
“Pro-life voters are excited to get behind André because he is a leader they can trust. Now it’s time to redouble our efforts for the general election. We’re looking forward to June 12,” Sande said.
