Legislative Republicans Send Letter to DHS Secretary: Demand Halt to the Operation of Abortion Facilities in Wisconsin

Led by Senator André Jacque (R-De Pere), 31 Republican state lawmakers sent a letter to Department of Health Services (DHS) Secretary-designee Andrea Palm demanding her immediate action to “ensure a halt to the operation of abortion facilities in Wisconsin for the duration of the declared public health emergency.”

On Thursday, February 13, Pro-Life Wisconsin Legislative Director Matt Sande testified before the Assembly Committee on Health in support of Assembly Joint Resolution (AJR) 130, known as the Wisconsin Personhood Amendment, legislation extending the inalienable right to life already found in the Wisconsin Constitution to all preborn children from the beginning of their lives.

The Assembly Committee on Health will hold a public hearing on Assembly Joint Resolution 130, known as the Wisconsin Personhood Amendment, this Thursday, February 13, at 9:01 a.m. in Room 412 East of the State Capitol. The legislation extends the inalienable right to life already found in the Wisconsin Constitution to all preborn children from the beginning of their lives.
